NAGPRA Work at DOMA
NAGPRA work is an essential part of a museum’s responsibility to respectfully care for and return Native American ancestors and cultural items to their affiliated Tribes. This presentation will provide an overview of the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), why this work matters, and how it strengthens relationships through consultation, collaboration, and accountability. We will also share updates on our museum’s ongoing progress, highlighting recent accomplishments and the steps still ahead as we continue this important work. The deadline to register is November 10th, 2026.
